Warning: This is to alert the entire Church of God by Faith body that several of our churches have become victims of a financial scam.

In short, two con artists pretending to be an Elder Jones and a Diane Williams from Bishop McKnight’s church, who are moving to a new area and have gotten into an accident. These individuals have used the Bishop’s name to persuade some to wire money to various places to help Diane get to where she is going.

Please note that under no circumstances do we advise you to wire any money, write any checks, or give any assistance to these or any other individuals that you don’t personally know. In the event that you are contacted by this group or any with similar stories, please do the following:

1. Follow the Benevolence policy of your church.
2. Report the matter to your local Police Department.
3. Contact and report the matter to the National office in Jacksonville, FL.

Please make sure that this alert has been communicated with all leaders in your local church.
